Answer to the question: Can you guess what Carol is doing?

Answer to the question: Can you guess what Carol is doing?
Some of you got part of the answer. At the Tombstone AZ (the original county seat) courthouse, which is now a very nice historical museum has it’s original courtroom on the second floor where many famous local trials were held in the past. For those that do not wish to climb the stairs, there is a video tour, and an interesting reenactment of a famous trial can be viewed from the main floor. To limit the sound, the speakers are old hand help phones. So Carol was watching the video and listening via the old phone.

Our weather has been great with highs in the low 80’s and 55 at night with mostly bright blue sky days. Yesterday we did 2 chickens on the BBQ and had neighbors over for dinner on the patio. This morning at 6 AM I awoke to the sound of the concrete truck in front of our place. That would have been OK except the crew that was doing the work was not here. 30 minutes later they showed up and my blood pressure went back to normal and 4 yards of concrete has now been placed for our new garage/washroom/& storage room. The pictures below are for your visual enjoyment.

For those that leave a comment on our blog, if you select “other” instead of “anonymous”, you will be able to insert your name so others (only those on my viewers list) can tell who has made the comment.

Tomorrow is a big day for Carol; she will be playing card games for at least 3 hours with her friends in the clubhouse. Soon the snowbirds with return and then lots of things start happening. Well I guess I’ll go watch the concrete get finished and do some wood carving, Hard day at work in retirement…..LR

A very lucky lizard

This little guy (it's body was the size of a quater) was resting in the middle of a 2 lane asphalt road. I was driving the golf cart so it was easy to see him. I was able to stop and pick it up and transplanted him to our back yard.

View from front window

For some of you this blue sky may look artificial but this what we see from our front window every day. The sunset view was taken just after a very brief thunder storm that gave us about 30 seconds of rain.

Pumpkin picking time in Arizona

It seems that pumpkins grow on trees here in Arizona. This makes them a lot easier to pick than bending over to pick them off the ground. Wonder where you find Easter Eggs.

Blog seems to be working

I actually found time to play with this blog program and just maybe have it working so that we can pass on some of the things we are doing here in Arizona. Carol & I are walking in the morning before breakfast. Many of our friends are up and out walking each morning also. Every day more of the regular snow birds arrive from everywhere in the country, soon the park will be fiiled up and then the activity schedule will begin in full swing. Then we will have no time for anything.
We are planning to take day trips to see some of the areas sites. One is the Titian missle site where the last complete silo has been kept as a tourist location. So maybe you will be seeing more exciting pictures in the future.
A tidbit of trivia...The only seguaro cactus in the park can be seen in the picture above. It is the tall cactus in front of our RV, and it is a very young 30 yr old baby. It may take another 30 years before it starts to sprout it's first arm. L & C
